Hi! We took a bus from the Shinhotaka Ropeway (HO65) bus stop to Toyama. That line is no longer running, unfortunately, but there are other buses that can get you to/from Shinhotaka. For example, take a look at this one:

https://www.nouhibus.co.jp/route_bus/shinhotaka-line-en/

One of the stops on that route is to Hirayu Onsen where you can switch buses to get back to Kamikochi (https://www.nouhibus.co.jp/route_bus/kamikochi-line-en/). Or you can go all the way to Takayama and switch buses to get back to most major cities, like Tokyo (https://www.nouhibus.co.jp/english/highwaybus/).

Hope that helps!
